The map below details the fortifications of the Order of St. John in the Malta and Tripoli between 1530-1798. It features fortifications (including forts, fortresses and defence lines), watchtowers, coastal defences (including batteries, redoubts and entrenchments) and other buildings and structures. It also provides the locations of the Order's headquarters over the years and territories acquired while in Malta.
